Use the office tied to the Placer County record type:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: request your own record review from the California Department of Justice
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Placer County Sheriff's Public and Records Unit
- Official record review: use California DOJ's fingerprint-based subject review
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Dismissal and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case

It is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding county holidays; most services require an appointment.
